June 23 2010: With the organisation of Gathering 2011 next January well under way, here’s news of the Midlands Tappers Gathering, being held on May 21-22, 2011. And the call is out for speakers to deliver presentations on their work.
The event, at the Ramada Hotel, Sutton Coldfield, aims to provide all of the excitement and learning of the main Gathering in a central location.
According to organiser Roy Martin, the event will follow the traditions of previous Gatherings. “We want to make it informative, fun, friendly, relaxing and enjoyable,” he says.
“Attendees will hear from people who are enthusiastic about their field of work and experience some amazing live sessions. They may even be the one in the chair!”
EFT Gatherings are low cost and not for profit, Roy explains. “Everyone pays the registration fee and everyone helps out however they can, even if it’s just by spreading the word.
“The event provides a friendly and supportive first stage for practitioners and trainers to share from their experiences and any can apply to present without previous experience. It is a community event, open to all tappers and designed to encourage connections, friendships and networking.”
There are also major benefits for those speaking, he adds.
“The Gathering not only gives them the opportunity to share their passion and what they love doing, but also helps others become more informed. It doesn’t matter if they aren’t seasoned trainers or public speakers. We help them create a talk that flows, is informative and after some tapping, less scary!”
The Ramada Hotel has a small lake and extensive grounds for a breath of fresh air, plus a spa and gym.
To share your passion email with an outline of your talk. If you would like to chat first about what you could do, call 0121 439 8955 (office hours) or 07976 643534. Volunteers to help spread the load of event management are also welcome.
