First EFT Gathering for New Mexico
March 17 2010: The influence of the Gathering spreads as the first such event was held in February in New Mexico.
The organisers, Paul Zelizer and Sejual Shah, were inspired by the friendly community-style approach Gwyneth Moss and Rue Hass take with their gatherings in Ilkley and Denver.
Sejual and Paul wanted to recreate this feeling in New Mexico and help tappers get together to continue developing their knowledge.
“The gathering was originally intended to serve tappers in Santa Fe in a friendly supportive way,” says Sejual. “However, it quickly grew to drawing EFTers from all over New Mexico – one person even travelled 250 miles to the gathering!”
Paul is a resident in Santa Fe, and Sejual was visiting him from the UK. They’d been mentoring each other as Mastermind buddies for a year and had benefited hugely in their therapy practices and EFT skills by doing this. “We decided to draw EFTers together with a similar intention: to help foster shared learning and start the flow of communication in person,” says Sejual.
Altogether 30 people at all skill levels in EFT and other energy psychology tools came together and participated in group presentations on how to deepen their EFT results.
“Paul and I spoke about ways to get better results with EFT through deep questioning and playful language. Andi Sutherland showed how she uses EFT to clear grief and loss issues. Finally, Francesca Shrady showed how to use EFT to achieve greater intimacy and increased comfort with sexuality in relationships.”
The Gathering was such a success that Paul and Joan Sotkin, who also lives in Santa Fe, are planning another one for this June with more presentations and sharing on offer. Joan is an energy psychology coach and the co-author of the training manual for Be Set Free Fast.
And it gets better, as Sejual explains: “As people shared on Facebook how much they enjoyed this gathering, it’s prompted others to organise new ones further afield. You can look forward to hearing about an EFT Gathering in Canada in coming months.
